Sharing is caring!

Wanting something different for dinner, then you need to try these Stuffed Cabbage Rolls. These cabbage rolls are great for a winter day. They are full of flavor with all the wonderful ingredients in them. The sweet potato, craisins, and spices mixed in with the meat and rolled up in the cabbage leaves turn out to be a great combination.

For this Stuffed Cabbage Roll recipe, I had ahead of cabbage and wanted to use it up. Not sure what I was going to make I started throwing things in a pan and I ended up with this delicious cabbage roll recipe. These are some of the best-tasting stuffed cabbage rolls I have ever made. I just started throwing a few things together to see what tastes good, and what do you know I came up with these rolls. I love Savory and sweet things together and I didn’t want to make my cabbage rolls like all the other typical cabbage rolls, So I thought I’d try something different. What a great creation. As it’s cooking it fills the house with an amazing aroma and looks beautiful also.

You can eat them just like this or put a tomato-based sauce on the top. I didn’t want to mask the flavors in the cabbage roll at all so I ate them just like this. They are so good.

To make these delightful little morsels you don’t need much. A little time and love, with of course a few ingredients. They do take a little time to make but they are well worth it. Cooking is something I love to do and releasing stress takes my mind off other things. All meals don’t have to be made in a snap. Slow down and enjoy life and what you’re eating. Good things take time.

Ingredients:

  • Ground turkey
  • Onion
  • Garlic
  • Red bell pepper
  • Arugala
  • Sweet potato
  • Crasins
  • egg
  • Italian spice mix

I know you may not have all these ingredients in your pantry, but it’s worth going to the store to get them. I know not everybody has a loaded pantry so here are a few substitutes you could use.

Substitues:

  • Ground beef instead of turkey
  • Any kind of pepper would work, red pepper is a little sweeter that green
  • Yams vs sweet potato
  • Rasins in place of craisins
  • Parsley for the arugula

It may have a slightly different flavor but I’m sure it would still be yummy. I make do with what I have in the kitchen. It may not be exact but usually, it comes out tasting fabulous.

These cabbage rolls are healthy and would be great if you’re on a keto diet, just leave out the craisins. They are also heart-healthy and diabetic friendly.

Hope you enjoy these and want to add them to your recipe file. Please let me know what you think. Hopefully all good!
